Thalapathy Vijay is all set to take the theatres by storm with his new political action film 'Jana Nayagan', which will hit the theatres on January 9, 2026. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film has created a lot of anticipation among Thalapathy fans. According to a report on Pinkvilla, the audio launch of the film is scheduled to take place in December 2025. It is also said that it will be held in Malaysia and not Tamil Nadu. Reports also claim that the much-awaited event will take place on December 27, 2025.

Overseas location stirs debate

It is a known fact that most of the audio releases of Thalapathy Vijay's films are held in Tamil Nadu. But this time, there is a high possibility that that tradition is going to be broken. Although no official announcement has been made yet, some media outlets have reported that preparations for the Malaysia Festival are being highlighted. The grand preparation has created great anticipation among the fans. However, at the same time, 'Jana Nayagan' makers considering a location other than Tamil Nadu has disappointed fans from the star's home state. Many even believe that this move will dampen Thalapathy Vijay's prospects for an extended career in Tamil Nadu politics.

Star-studded cast and Anirudh's fifth musical collaboration with Vijay

'Jana Nayagan' also features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Menon, Revathi, and Narain among others, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This film marks the composer's fifth collaboration with Vijay after the successful 'Kaththi', 'Master', 'Beast', and 'Leo.' Reported to be a political entertainer, the post-production work for the film is on in full swing.
