As speculation swirled around his separation from choreographer Dhanashree Verma, the cricketer recently opened up about the story behind that headline-making T-shirt and the emotional closure he sought. Alongside this revelation, a resurfaced clip from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 offers a lighthearted look back at their dynamic, shedding new light on their past relationship.

A playful memory from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

While appearing on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 to support Dhanashree, Yuzvendra joined in on a fun guessing game hosted on stage. During the segment, a moment involving the word "diamond" led to playful banter between the two. Chahal jokingly suggested that post-arguments, Dhanashree would often expect a gesture or a gift, but clarified it was never really about material things. Instead, he hinted that what she truly sought after a disagreement was a simple apology—not jewels. The exchange offered a light, affectionate glimpse into their relationship at the time.

Setting the record straight

Addressing assumptions that he was in the marriage for financial gain, Chahal subtly indicated that a particular incident from Verma's side pushed him to respond. Though he initially had no intention of reacting publicly, the situation led him to a point where he felt compelled to speak out. Without targeting or abusing anyone, Chahal clarified that his response was more about sending a clear message and finding closure than stirring confrontation.
